Mother's Day in Ukraine

On the second Sunday in May people in Ukraine celebrate Mother's Day. Many people show their love and appreciation for their mothers, buying for them cards, flowers, chocolates, jewelry and other gifts. Flowers are a common way to symbolize love and appreciation for a mothers. Mother's Day is not an official public holiday in Ukraine.
